Three Opportunities. Endless Impact.

United Way of Central Indiana has a new way for donors to maximize their philanthropic efforts. The Impact Funds integrate areas of need into three categories: Basic Needs, Family Opportunity and Social Innovation.

Each fund was created to bring strategic focus to address our community’s most critical problems as well as open doors to new opportunities that will improve people’s lives in sustainable ways.

In partnership with current and new community-based organizations, United Way Impact Funds will help stabilize individuals in crisis, move families towards self-sufficiency and create innovative solutions to break the cycle of generational poverty - all while connecting donors to causes they are most passionate about.

Basic Needs Fund

Food. Shelter. Health. Transportation. Most of us take these things for granted, but for many people, these basic needs are in critical short supply or non-existent. The Basic Needs Fund provides the essentials to our most vulnerable neighbors and life-saving assistance to those in emergency situations. Help those in need survive today so they can thrive tomorrow.

Family Opportunity Fund

Breaking the cycle of poverty in families is difficult - but it can be done, with your help. The Family Opportunity Fund supports programs to improve the education, financial stability and overall health of the whole family, providing pathways for their success and long-term stability. With your gift, you are giving children and their caregivers the tools they need to secure their own futures.

Social Innovation Fund

The Social Innovation Fund presents an exciting opportunity for donors to invest in new solutions to some of our community’s oldest problems. Your gift helps support an entrepreneurial spirit - creating space for exchanging and incubating new ideas, improving technology and expanding successful, small-scale programs. You can be part of a network of passionate, forward-thinking individuals and organizations who want to accelerate positive change throughout our community.
